What is the Image Cropper?
Cropping cuts away the outer parts of a picture so only the area you want remains. It is the quickest way to fix composition, remove clutter or get the exact shape a profile photo, banner or print needs.
This cropper works on the original pixels, so a crop of a large photo stays as sharp as the source. Nothing is resized unless you ask for it elsewhere.

Aspect Ratios and Exact Sizes
An aspect ratio is the width divided by the height. 1:1 is a square, 4:3 and 3:2 are common photo shapes, 16:9 is widescreen video and 9:16 is a vertical story or reel. With a ratio locked, the crop box keeps its shape when you resize it.
The X and Y boxes give the position of the top-left corner in pixels of the original image, and Width and Height give the size of the crop. Crop in pixels first, then use the Image Resizer if you need a specific final size.

Your image is drawn on a canvas in your browser. It is not uploaded or stored, and the cropped file is created on your device.
Limitations
Only JPG, PNG and WebP images are supported, and animated images lose their animation. Cropping removes metadata such as camera details. Extremely large images may be slow on older phones.

Does cropping reduce image quality?
Cropping itself does not resize the picture, so the pixels you keep stay sharp. Saving as JPG or WebP applies some compression, while PNG is lossless.

Does it work on a phone?
